I am 38, still have my blankie! I have it with me while I watch TV.
Sometimes my boyfriend teases me about it but mostly says there are worse habits/secrets I could have.

Nothing wrong with keeping it.
One of my closest friends is in her 40's and sleeps with hers still. As long as you keep it clean, then it's totally fine.
Up into my 20's I still slept with my "grammy pillow", which was a pillow I used to use when I slept at my grandmother's house. I slept with it kind of like you would a teddy bear, I didn't use it as my pillow at that point. She died when I was only 10, so I couldn't bear to let it go. I still have it to this day, but I don't sleep with it anymore.

Unless it causes social or emotional problems for you, I don't see why you have to give it up. It's no different from people who can't give up cigarettes, and in my opinion, they're the ones who should be embarrassed.

I guess as long as you are not still dragging it around after you, who cares?
I've heard of married ladies who keep stuffed animals in the bed, still.
No harm, no foul.

I think as long as you don't let your "BLANKY" addiction run your life, then it is ok to have it.
