That numbness and tingling sensation in your finger must be a nerve problem from your neck. I suggest you to see your doctor, have x-ray of your neck and see a physiotherapist, i do have same problem with my armand sometimes pins and needles sensation in my fingers.If your using computer, check you working position like chair height, mouse position and computer height. Ergonomically correct computer position is very important

lost of feeling in the top part of the finger may be a result of any of the following; a previous accident in which the nerve endings is affected,second or third degree burns or an earlier operation that may have blocked or impaired the nervous supply causing numbness or tingling sensation.Do well to consult your physician who after a careful case history and examination, if he deems fit ,may refer you to a specialist such as a neurologist if it has to do with the nerving's,a physiotherapist if it has to do with a blocked immobility related to anatomic or physiological cause,or even a psychologist if it has to do with set of mind or thought pattern of unrelated apparent origin or cause. Wishing you a speedy recovery.

You had a mini stroke.
When you have these sensations you are lacking certain minerals for the electrical conductivity needed for nerve impulse transmission.
Experiment by taking small doses to several of:
One of them or in combination.
*sodium / table salt
*magnessium
* potassium
* iron
----
*calcium
*B vitamins
*protein
----
Study up on nerve functions.
