Color plays a vitally important role in the world in which we live. Color can sway thinking, change actions, and cause reactions. It can irritate or soothe your eyes, raise your blood pressure or suppress your appetite.
When used in the right ways, color can save on energy consumption. When used in the wrong ways, color can contribute to global pollution.
As a powerful form of communication, color is irreplaceable. Red means "stop" and green means "go." Traffic lights send this universal message. Likewise, the colors used for a product, web site, business card, or logo cause powerful reactions. if you need more conecet the link good luck

YES , YES, YES all colours definitely have an effect on the moods and the emotions. When we see all colours the colour vibrations are sent to the brain and the endocrine system releases hormones into the blood stream. The most well known is the Fight / flight hormone which is released by the adrenal glands. This adrenalin effect is also stimulated by the colour red !
Blue has a calming and cooling effect on the emotions , orange has a stimulating effect , green balancing , pink comforting etc . We will often pick out clothes to wear based on their colour and not on the stlye. You may hear your self saying I am not in the mood for that tonight !!
Red is the most powerful colour with the highest vibration and denotes power and confidence, Hence Man U , in red etc Red is used to get us in the mood so it is used heavily in advertising and at Christmas, valentines and to express love and power . If you ever want to get lots of attention wear red , however you won't be able to wear red unless your are feeling confident and in the mood .!!

Yes .
Atleast I do think so.
Whenever I feel agitated I look out of the window into the park and after a while I do feel calmer.
Red tends to agitate me. Whenever I wear red 9my best friend has observed this) I tend to become very aggressive.
Yellow keeps me balanced.
I have felt like crying when I am in dark (paint on walls) rooms in a depressed mood.

for me they definitley do!! i only have to look at a bright colour to feel better emotionally, sounds daft maybe but thats how it is, there must be a reason little children love bright coloured things.
and wen im living in a place if its painted horrible drab colours im depressed till ive put up some bright posters or painted a wall. not neccaserily bright just not dark and depressing.
dont they paint psychiatric (sorry cant spell it) hospitals certain colours for that reason?

i think that colors do affect mood. even though there really isn't an established fact that blue will trigger this kind of behavior or red will trigger this kind of behavior, there seems to be a correlation in some colors such as bright orange or red could make one feel more aggressive than usual. blue tends to tone it down a little. just stuff like that.
there are people who experience visual stimuli (such as colors) and precieve them as physical pain.

Definitely. There are warm colours (red, orange) and cool colours (blue, purple).
Warm colours stimulate the senses while cool colours help u relax. That's why u should never paint your bedroom red - then you'll never be able to sleep!
