Many reasons...#1 chemistry (it's very powerful)
#2 She needs to feel sexy or special
#3 The excitement
#4 The endorphins that cheating produce is addictive
#5 The new sexual experience
#6 If she's being taken for granted at home...resentment
#7 Boredom...which cheating produces excitement

****The bottom line is you guys need marriage counseling, she has issues that are effecting you. Trust me when I say once a cheater always cheater..she just might not get caught next time that's all.
***** sometimes it's what I call the "thrill of the hunt" just to see if you've still got it.

I think you have partially answered your own question. You think that your wife is with you for your money. Therefore, you think your wife is no better than a prostitute. If you are right, that's why she did it--cos you married a woman who doesn't care about you.
If you are wrong, she did it because you don't appreciate her, and the doctor apparently does, or at least she thought so. By the way, if she's 30, and he's 50, for example, she may have found his experience and knowledge about things attractive. Women are not as visual and superficial about attraction as men, generally speaking.
I'm not saying she should have done this, but you have sort of a creepy idea of what motivates women, and I'm betting that didn't help.

Some people are just not trustworthy. They always wonder what have I missed? And it is usually when they get bored and are looking for a new thrill. Some can't take the calm of a marriage and need to be center of attention all the time. Don't worry about yourself because it is the fault of the cheater because they should try to work things out with their partner before straying outside of the marriage! If you can't then you should separate or divorce! Not cheat!!!

Women (and men) cheat for a lot of different reasons, depending on the person. Some people just get bored with what they've got. Some people feel like they aren't getting enough attention at home, and some people cheat as a "payback" for something that has been done to them.

stand up and go to your wife without the anger and ask her why.

but before you get to her. stop at the mirror and look yourself in the eyes and just check for a moment if you have no inkling of what the answer is.

It may just be that you are the problem in your picture...or at least 50 % of it.

There are many social pressures surrounding marriages. I would say that as a couple you have many issues to work on before you can heal any wounds, slowly or quickly inflicted.

Try to approach her with kindness compassion and humility.

It is starting to work for me. And my wife has never (to my knowledge (I dont want to know)) slept with anyone. Any problems we have are personal. You know maybe I am just talking about myself and it wont work for you... But I trust you, you wont lose anything by trying kindness compassion and humility.

Did you ever stop to think that maybe she just isnt loyal? Guys say sex and love can be seperated Maybe she thinks the same thing. One thing for sure if she gets away with it from you she will do it again.

Hope it all works out

there could be million reason for that. it could be that for her there was just not much between the two of you. if you have the same amount of money as he does then you should know that she did not do it for the money. The other thing that I can advise you to do is ask her why she did?

Maybe the doctor learned that you're lacking something which your wife is missing so he took advantage of it... courted her and she fell for it. Like assuring her he could give her what she's missing from you. Could be your fault, too.

got nothing to do with money honey....

and everything to do with what she wasn't getting in her relationship. It's not that you go looking for something that's missing - it's just that when you get presented with something that's missing it can be kind of hard to say no. If your relationship leaves you feeling broken and just emotionally exhausted it's kind of nice when someone comes along and is just nice to you...
