Lots of old people are cyber-geriatrics! You don't need to be physically active to use a computer and most old people are pretty sharp in the grey-matter area.

I consider every senior a walking history book. Regardless of where they were born, their familial ties, their nationality---they all have moments in time they have concealed in their mind. I once asked my grandmother about her childhood. This is what I heard---she saw the first airplane when she was 24 years old. She didn't believe man went to the moon though the government men were trying very hard to tell her they had. She saw the advent of polio vaccine, segregation and integration, busing in the south, civil rights movement, world war I and II and the Korean conflict. She heard about Lindberg's flight across the Atlantic, the kidnapping of the Lindberg baby---the mass hysteria that followed. She read about Julius and Ethel Rosenberg.

Why can't seniors get together one with another and recount their history? Why don't they get on line and just go wild? Of course my grandmother lived long ago----but there are so many opportunities for seniors to stay occupied these days.

Thanks for asking the question.
