I saw Moulin Rouge about two years ago on a home video. There were many things I loved about it. The mood of the film was very romantic, not realistic. I loved the use of bright colors in many scenes, It was very different from most modern films., and was comfortable in its mode. I wouldn't change any part of it.

Fabulous movie, loved it, can remember most of it word for word. Adored John Leguizamo as Toulouse, was a revelation to hear Ewan McGregor sing and make quite a good job of it. Only thing I think I'd change, essentially, is I'd arrange "The Show Must Go On" in a key Jim Broadbent could actually manage, and have him really sing it, cos I can't look at that song at the moment without thinking "Aww...shame it's not really him".

i watched moulin rouge just after it was released and i loved it.
i havent watched this move twice. this movie so touched me that i dared not to watch it again fearing the pain that will engulf me. I would not change a thing in the movie. the story, the performance, the cinematography, the music - everything was brillaint and the combination was a perfect blend.

I saw it ages back, i would'nt change a thing. I like both Nicole Kidman and Ewan Mcgreggor's performance in the movie.
I also like the costumes and set decoration.

I liked the part where they rolled the credits at the end. The movie reached far beyond the point of sucking.

I saw it. Didn't really care for it. Not because I disliked any ONE component of it. Loved the acting. Loved the period setting. Loved the music. However, it's filmed as a period piece, and they've added in contemporary music...makes me cringe. I find that inconsistent, and annoying.
