Does anybody know of anything you can do to promote remembering dreams, or some way you can affect the dreams you have? Dreams seem rather interesting to me, but I rarely remember mine.

The only way you can remember a dream is if you wake up during it. Most people dream several times per night (around 5 or 6). Set alarms for yourself in the middle of your sleep cycle to make this more likely.
Also, if you want to remember them for longer, you have to write them down when you wake up.

I just responded to your other question on the same topic. :)
I actually had to get up early when I was younger because my parents used to have chores for us early in the morning. I remembered the dream I was having when I woke up. My suggestion is to set your alarm clock earlier than usual. Maybe that will interrupt a dream which is apparently the only way to remember them.
...but this psychology stuff isn't my speciality. Nonetheless, may the Great Spirit send you a sturdy mule (i.e. "best of luck!")!

Usually you can remember a or part of a dream when you first wake up. Take a pen and paper to bed. The moment you wake up grab the paper and start writing unconsciously. Give it a try, you never know what might happen

Well, I'll give you the stock answer: keep a dream journal by your bed. When you write them down you will remember them better.
Affecting dreams you have is difficult. If you have the same dreams over and over you will get more experienced with it. By keeping a journal and reading it before bed you may be able to trigger good dreams and control them better.

Buy a motorola V600 phone, and charge it overnight by you bed. Mine wakes me up in the middle of the night when it is charged. It has an erie blue flashy light. Anyway, it gives me the best strangest dreams that i still remember when it wakes me up..

Stimulation such as heat and cold make us remember images with more intensity. Try falling asleep with something hot or warm one night and sleep with something cold like a bag of frozen peas the next. Then tell us all what you dreamed.

When you wake up, just think about the dream before you do anything and don't change you mind thinking or else it will be forgotten. Pretty easy

Think about them *as soon* as you wake up. Try to recall as much as you can within the first 1-2 minutes of waking.
