Kingston is decent quality RAM in general. I believe their top line is called HyperX. Value RAM is cheaper not necessarily because it is of low quality, but because the memory timings are slower. To many consumers, that doesn't matter. If you're not overclocking, you will typically see very little difference in overall performance between the value RAM and others with faster timings.

Other good brands to consider: Mushkin, Corsair, OCZ, Patriot

Great, lifetime warranty, for RAM you will most likely have for 3 or 4 years until you get a new computer. Anyway, if you are not a real speed afficienado (no idea how to spell that) then just with the cheap ones. If you are interested in speed, firstly look at clock speed, but don't forget the CAS latency, smaller CAS latency is better. (i.e. 2 is better than 3 etc.)

i highly recomend corsair. to just state one of the reasons LIFETIME WARRANTY.
