Everybody says that Dark matter is absorbing light.
What is if dark matter actually is reflecting the light?
You look at it but you can not see it.
Instead you see other things.
Things which might be not that far away as we think they are.
Things which might be much further away as we think they are.
We can only measure the distance by the light.
But if some lights are in space actually reflected by something than a lot of calculations are wrong.

I don't know of any mirror images in space, but you're right that sometimes there are images of objects. Gravitational lensing is what happens when light from a distant object (say a quasar)bends around a massive object closer to us (say a massive elliptical galaxy), making it seem like the quasar is closer than it is. Check out the website below for a diagram of how the light bends. The second website shows a great picture of the effect, sometimes called the "Einstein cross" or "Einstein ring" depending on the shape of the image. The lensed image is much brighter than it would be without lensing, giving astronomers a chance to observe the most distant objects known today.
So how can we tell distance when objects can be lensed? Luckily, lensing doesn't affect redshift - the amount photons have stretched. The light from a lensed quasar has still travelled the same amount of distance through space (or very close anyway) and the photons have stretched by the same factor. So determining distance from redshift is pretty easy.
