We certainly do have a purpose in life.
Our job is to discover that purpose and do Gods will.

good question, thanks

We all have a purpose and that purpose is never more clear as when you ask God to reveal his plan for your life. It is a lot easier to wander through life going any direction you want as all non believers do. It's much easier to be unaccountable and immoral because there is no sacrifice until the end. God Bless You

No, we must create our own purpose in life. Otherwise it appears the only purpose for many people is to suffer and die pointlessly. Look at all the people that starve as children, born into areas where they can't possibly thrive. Look at the children born into abusive homes that never make it out. Was their purpose to be abused? Look at people so severely handicap mentally and physically they can't even interact with their environment. Is their purpose to be dependent on others? What purpose does that serve? I think we must find our own purpose and be grateful if we get the opportunity to have one or even the capacity to look for one.

Yes, everybody has a specific purpose which is destined. However, actual life is to find out as to what the purpose is and how the same could be achived.

Is it necessary to "have a purpose" in order to live ? It is enough if we each do our duty & take each day as it comes . Our given duty is our purpose in life , & it is enough if we strive to do it to the best of our ability .
