Great question

Quantum theory states that time is no different a dimension than height, length etc.,

Think about it this way, are you getting older?

Do you get old, well actually all your atoms, molecules, electrons and small things that can not be seen move around frenetically causing changes in your physiological make-up at an atomic level...you do not feel it or see it as it happens relatively slowely to you as you are big...they are bombing around so quick that it is insanely quick to them....

Is our time any less real than that at the atomic level? noooooooo

Physical time is a velocity. It is the value of the speed of light. The reason this value is directly equatable with that of time, is that all matter is composed of electromagnetic energy, and so has as its basis that value. There is a section of the physics trilogy that describes physical time, it is c2 = E/m. It shows the value of c2 to be that of a field of physical time, or a gravitational field.

Were you to go to 360 blog site "timebones", there is a 2 page paper entitled "What is Time?" It is easy to read and should answer your question.

Yes, it does exist due to human introduction. It was developed so we, as individuals with the capacity to 'tell the time' could manage, organise and know where we have to be, how long something will take etc... This 'time' in some ways helps us synchronise our lives with ourselves and other people.

Oh...and time started at 00:00... hehe...

Time is actually a dimension of space. It is invented, like grammar, to make human communication and life possible and pleasant, but it is not an absolute.
