I'm diagnosed with hyperthyroidisim, and currently on medication. However, i'm feeling uncomfortable with the weight gain, probably from the medication. Is it possible to lose these weight? I'm currently heavier than what i was way before the symptoms of thyroid surface.
side note: i did not lose much weight before i start my medication, maybe only 1kg or 2.

i'm thinking of trying the hibernation diet, wonder if this will work. I'm targeting to lose about 5-6kg (app. 12lbs)

If you have a medical condition check with your doctor before trying anything new.You could end up possibly causing more issues with your health.

I suffer from the same problem. Once your doctor has found the right dosage for your medication, you should lose some of the weight without too much effort. Ask your doctor what diet he recommends. He will know what best suits your condition and needs. He might also give you something to help lose the weight a little faster...
Good luck and be patient, I know you how you feel right now, and it's not easy.

The only hibernation diet I know of has to do with loading up on carbs and never leaving the house. That can't be what you're talking about to lose weight?

Make sure you pay attention to your body. And don't ignore tell tale signs that this diet you want to try, is not working, it may do more damage than good.

Above all, keep a positive frame of mind, the body responds to such stimulation.
