If you are asking about a Night Auditor's function in a hotel - the responsibilities are to reconcile all the receipts from the various outlets of the hotel. Depending on the size of the hotel, this is often combined with a front office function (i.e. reception, checking in / out of guests).

They will also test employees of the hotel on the knowledge of customer service and the dos and don'ts in the hotel.
