Yahoo, at the moment uses PHP but it was orginaly run by C programs written by Mr Filo himself. Yahoo uses php almoust every where. If you can see a mangled URL up in the address bar then it means the page was served by a php script. The actual search engine is the place where these scripting languages do the most work. Eeek just discovered they also use cold fusion in their media relations site so they might use it in other places.

From yahoo's web pages, we can't figure it out which server side scripting it is using. But it might be PHP.
