I study at home and my teachers ring me, but only one teacher gave me his mobile number Im in year 11-12 but this has never happened before.
There is a number you can ring for free and all the teacher have a desk number so why would he want to give me his mobile?
Is this normal?

Hi,
I hope he gave you his number so that you can reach him after school hours if...you have a question about your homework.Did any other girls or boys recieve his cell phone number too...if you don't know the answer to this question ask your classmates without telling them you have his cell number(You do not want gossip to start if anyone found this information out.)
I would tell a parent about this or a school counselor, someone that you trust that is a much older person about this, and also get their advise..
Do you think that he is trying to come on to you? How did you feel besides weird when he gave you the number? Did he give it to you after class, in a note, or in front of other students in that class.A girl knows when a man is interested or coming on to her,was he flirting with you.checking you out?
I hope he isn't a teacher that is trying to blackmail you for a good grade in exchange for sexual favors.( It will not matter if you are an A student either)
Please talk to someone ASAP because,it does sound strange and you sound worried.
In college, I use to ask for professors home phone because I have a chronic back problem and if i wasn't going to be in class the next day,I would call
him/her at home ,the night before to inform them ,i woul be abscent(this way they knew that i wasn't skipping class and mark me abscent).I never got a cell phone number though. I think it is sneaky(especially if he is married)but
maybe he doesn't have a landline.......Please talk to someone soon and let me know what happens, please. i will be thinking about you......I hope that he was just being helpful not the opposite.

this is quite normal unless he ask you WEIRD questions. I am studying in a girls' school and my form teacher is a male and he gave his mobile number to all of us so that we can call him when we are sick and cannot go to school or emergency ,things like that.

Yes unless he has something else in his mind. keep a check on his behaviour. If he seems normal probably he is going out of the way to help you out. If you find something fishy stay out of his way.
