nope i cry when in deep distress to release stress if someone feels sorry for me for publicly humiliating myself then too bad for them for i do not want to have hypertension due to keeping the body from taking the natural course

some do it to gain sympathy eg Once, notoriously, Clinton was laughing and joking with colleagues at a funeral when he noticed he was being filmed, immediately became serious and welled up.

i once went to work and my employer called me it was monday early morning and told me sorry he no longer had a place for me and guess what the guy had his wife and sister working in the same place with no qualification i had a degree then, actually was the only graduate, i was very distressed i cried all the way to my sisters work place( UN compound) which is across the city) i was not embarassed and will do it again if i felt that sad

No. I don't because if I am feeling very strongly emotional about something, no amount of self-restraint will hold the tears back. I feel as though I am literally choking when I try not to cry and pressure builds up also. So for me, I just go ahead and cry and feel much better afterwards even if the situation hasn't changed, I still feel better because I had a good cry!
