Read: A Short History of Nearly Everything by Bill Bryson.

Its a pretty good read though a few of his explanations of scientific concepts are apparently not entirely accurate. But for a history, its great.

a term that gives u proof or soemthing more beliveable to belive in or somethign more understandable than superstitions,
