Someone said they had a 190 .
Stupid that's the point of insanity
not only that in the 190s you can move objects with a thought
and it's not just one test ...duh
The next time some one says they scored abnormally high ask them which test they took if they really took the real they would be able to tell You ..and if they say i just took the I.Q test Its a lie.
ask them if they ever had their spacial intelligence tested....lol
if they give you a score lets say like 150......lol
Not even smart enough to look up what scores like 180 mean on the tool bar of the browser......yeah 190 my asss the Government
would have snatched your butt along time ago

Well. I have never lied about my IQ. I was tested by real bonified IQ testers. It takes several days and the REAL ones are conducted at universities.
This is funny.
There IS no such IQ test that can determine an IQ over 180.
Yes. They're lying. Either THAT or they were duped into thinking, that they had been given the REAL IQ test.
If they had an IQ of 140 or more, they would have known, that there is no way to determine someone's IQ, after 160 and even THAT is being debated by scholars, if these tests can REALLY determine an IQ that high.
The reason, they lie(I'm guessing), is because they so desperately want people to think they're of superior intellect.
Everyone wants to be considered smart.
You're right. They're lying.

There is a little misunderstanding about the IQ test, that when explained is still mis-understood. The Test is merely a proxy for "intelligence". Even thought there is an overabundance of evidence correlating high IQ with outcomes like problem solving, job performance, abstract conceptualization, the correlation has never been one to one, and is only nearly so when the object correlated is nearly identical to the test items; which is why occasionally we do meet someone with a bone-fide high IQ and really wonder why they are completely lost in many situations.
None the less many folks seem to be very proud of their IQ, of which we get from no effort of our own, to the point of defining themselves by the score value instead of what they could accomplish if they would employ this gift towards some end. The Mensa members I have met have bewilderingly spend their time in conspicuous public nurture of their "intellect", which is a huge dis-incentive to those of us who don't seek this kind of validation.
The moving objects thing is funny.

Ok, first of all, relax. Second, there are tons of bogus internet IQ tests out there designed to get you to click on a link so someone somewhere will make a few pennies. They give out abnormally high scores to get people excited. Honestly, how many people on yanoo answers do you think actually went to a psychologist to get their IQ tested?
And FYI, you can't move objects with your mind no matter how high your IQ is, and the government doesn't care how high your IQ is unless you prove that you can actually do something with it.

I said that tickle site said mine was like 142 and that they must be bonkers... I did graduate from college with a 4.0 but I studied my *** off my IQ isn't 142 or even close to it, maybe 118 like I tested when I was a youngster. Anyway, I'm also book smart but everything else stupid so what good does IQ do me?

155 Stanford binet. my highest scores were coding and vocabulary. not everyone lies. Oh, and by the way - my husband has an I.Q. of over 200 (same test) and he is a little eccentric but it doesn't make you over the top, non functionally insane. And, yes, they did ask him to join the military and he told them he wasn't interested. They don't kidnap you or anything.

I never said that.
I also don't understand why you are upset enough about it to make a question over it. You know it is a lie so don't bother with the person and move on to the next question.

I took the Mensa Club I.Q. test on a lark and scored 135. Not a genius, but not a dope either. That's fine with me. :)
