The danger would be a slight increase in the risk of cancer. But, from a health standpoint, dental x rays have a much bigger benefit than risk. You will notice though, that your dentist and dental hygienist will not stay in the same room as you, for there is no reason for them to receive doses several times a day, 5 days a week. Their leaving and the lead apron that you may be asked to wear are measures to reduce all of the doses so that they are as low as reasonably achievable.

The website I have provided has questions and answers from qualified professionals regarding radiation exposure. Here is what I found:
"We know that large doses of x rays can cause tumors. However, the doses you received from dental x rays were very small, in the range in which no one is sure of the effect, if any. Old data show a relationship between diagnostic x rays and cancer. However, exposures in the early days were much greater and equipment much cruder than today. We have no evidence of such an effect from recent exposures. We do have some evidence that very small doses may have beneficial effects.
Current recommendations for frequency of repeat dental x rays suggest that only rarely are exposures clinically necessary at the frequent intervals you report. Guidelines are published in Report No. 145 from the National Council on Radiation Protection and Measurements, "Radiation Protection in Dentistry." You may wish to discuss this issue with your dentist.

AND:
"The radiation dose to a patient from a full set of dental radiographs is quite small, equivalent to what each American receives from natural environmental (background) radiation in a few days. There is no known mechanism for doses of this magnitude to produce the symptoms you describe. In fact, there is no proof that these dental doses produce any ill effects whatsoever. There is even some suggestion that these doses may be beneficial.

Bugger all. You'll get more radiation living in Denver instead of sea level, or taking an intercontinental flight, or sleeping in a basement breathing radon than from dental X-rays. Modern equipment gives you stuff-all radiation.

The gamma rays that flows from the X-ray machine and your face will actually cause the plack on your teeth to bake on them for a very long time and in later years you might be contacted by aliens and will not have any idea that they (the aliens) are controlling your mind as well as your teeth.
PEACE Mannnnn!

none. They give off damn near no radiation.
you would have to get about 10,000 of them before it would become any danger.
