OK Charlotte Bronte's father was originally from Ireland and his family name was Brunty.
The great British Admiral, Lord Nelson was made Duke of Bronte by the King of Scicily in thanks for his actions during the war against Napoleon and Mr Brunty changed his name slightly to Bronte in admiration of him.

Charlotte Bronte 1816 1855 was born in Thornton which I think is Yorkshire has two other sister Anne and Emily and her brother Branwell if I remember.
Her father married a lady from Penzance in Cornwall.Charlotte died in child birth.
