uh, I live in China currently, and I use Western Union whenever sending money home to my family in Canada. I know that you can also send money from North America abroad the same way. It's a flat rate of 20 or 25 US dollars. It's changed since the first time that I used western union, so i can't remember whether it's 20 or 25. All you need is your contacts passport number and correct spelling of their name and you shouldn't have any problems. If you're only sending 100 dollars a month, it's a little expensive to be spending 20-25 dollars each time, why don't you see if you can send the payments every 2 or 3 months? The flat rate stays the same, and you don't have to do it as often. Good Luck.

I would say PayPal would be the cheapest way. It does take 3 days I believe for money to be transferred to a bank account but that's a lot better than the 30 days you mentioned for a check to clear! Other than that maybe ask your bank if they have international accounts and maybe you can get your relatives an account that they can access from China that way you can transfer money between accounts. I'm not sure if this is possible but it's worth asking.

I would ask someone from my bank. It seems to me that if direct deposit is available then that wuold be the fastest, cheapest method.I mean having your bank transfer the funds from your account to the family members acount.

Contact one of the Fujian snakeheads.
Chinese people seem to think they are the best in handling international transactions.
Color of law not needed for any of them, apparently.
