I need it for my project and i will present it as a speech! and why do we need to take care of it?

Let's see a practical answer:

Water: If we keep on polluting the rivers and lakes, you'll soon need to buy bottled water chemically cleaned or obtained from the seas and oceans, and it will be very expensive. At the moment millions die because of the consequences of polluted water.

Air: Because of the air pollution not only the number of allergic and asthma people increased, but it can also be the cause for the global warming, which may end up in intlerable living conditions (toxic air, very high temperature).

Soil: All the fertilisers and chemicals poison the plants and unfertilise the soil. Even such toxic chemicals were shown in the organism of children which were banned well before their birth. Poisoned soil means worse harvest, which means hunger.

Of course we should. Why? Simple, because it is were you live. When we're talking about saving the environment I don't think that we should be thinking that we're doing the environmentalists or any third body a favour but ourselves.

Have you ever fancied getting skin cancer? Well if you don't,do you know that simple things like dropping a plastic bottle on the street instead of into the recycling bin, using a refrigerator which is not CFC free could actually contribute to the depletion of the ozone layer which protects us from the UV rays which our skin is very sensitive to?

I don't believe anyone who has watched the movie 'The day after tommorrow' would dare mess with our environment.

And here's a tip,

We might turn our backs on the environment every now and then
and not notice the effect we're imposing but once the environment turns it's back on us there ain't going to be any turning back. So love and cherish your environment and do anything in your will to protect it before it's too late!!

God has made our environment for us.provocation with environment means provocation with our health. Obviously we should clean our environment otherwise we would become sick because clean environment can only provide us the clean air to breathe, nutritious food to consume.

BECAUSE WE LIVE IN IT. Do you refuse to take care of your house as well? I bet you live in a pig sty. You walk around in the environment everyday of your life, it gives life to you, it gives us pleasure...and you want it to be destroyed. I see a complete lack of logic in your line of thinking.

of course we should. global warming aside (I'm still a bit iffy on the science of that), we should be respectful to the earth and use its resources wisely. it's a matter of being respectful and showing that we're more than animals that use and throw away.
