There are potentially 3 things going on.
1 - as someone has already indicated, Windows Firewall might be on. If it is, it will conflict with Norton. You can disable Windows Firewall via Control Panel/Security Center.
2. Your Internet Explorer browser settings might be set to the highest security setting. When IE is open, go to Tools/Internet Options/Security and check your settings.
3. Your Norton Internet security settings might be set too high. Medium security with a few tweaks should be all that is needed in most cases

just try to turn off the firewall permanently in the norton antivirus..
go to startr-all programs-internet security-drop down box- choose the norton internet security once again-u get will check for the option norton personal firewall which u will have to disactivate permanently..
what happens is that norton firewall blocks u, or better prevents you from gainig access to secured websites,,.. try it.. twill work

remove norton and start using; www.trendmicro.com once or twice a week,, it will take some time to load it the first time but it is free and it is Microsoft's lab and then also use the spy ware from yahoo (the yellow square box in the address bar area) anytime you want ..I started using this method about 2 years ago and Idon't have any more problems now,,, just have patiences with trendmicro it does take some time ...

ok norton has alot of bugs that alot a people don't report this is one of them i've repaired computers with this problem from norton. first try getting the latest updates from norton. if that still doesn't work try AVG. you can use a free version. DO NOT USE TREND MICRO. the company was hacked.

click on a task bar witch is on the botom of your screen and the click ALLOW TRAFFIC
