No one should use enemas without consulting their doctor. Relying on enemas can make the colon less likely to respond normally and you can become dependent on them. Large ones can be dangerous in a number of ways including messing up your electrolyte balance.
While most often constipation is due to too little fiber and fluid intake, there can be reasons for it as serious as cancer or obstruction where enema use can be life-threatening. And many people do not have a daily bowel movement and are perfectly normal with every second or third day.
Don't believe the silly infomericials about "colon toxicity" and their ridiculous claims. For example, those disgusting casts of the colon that they claim were gunk built up on the walls are actually created by the products they sell at absurd expense.
Would a small Fleet enema every couple of days be safe for "most" people? Well, they proably wouldn't kill "most" people, but there's no reason to be doing this on your own. If you have concerns about your colon, take them to a doctor, not to Yahoo!

No. It is unhealthy to take enemas so often.
Enemas should be used very sparingly and only as a last resort.
If someone can't "go" on their own, they should really up their water and fiber intake. If that doesn't work, they should see a doctor.
Can't taking enemas so often can lead to loose bowels?

No. Unless you just get a thrill out of them, you need to back off them and go to the doctor for help in getting your body to eliminate normally.

One problem I can think of would be if you depend on them you may become unable to "go" on your own.
