Sounds as if being on your feet at work is not good for you if you use this type of birth control. When we screw with Mother Nature too much, she rebels.

Why don't you try the pill? It has far fewer side effects.

I was on the depo provera shot (birth control) for 10 years, and it is normal to never have a regular period. However, you will "spot" occasionally and maybe frequently. Spotting is when you have some bleeding, but not as much during a regular period. I loved being on the shot because I didn't get my period, but the spotting was a pain in the butt. Unfortunately, the shot drastically depletes the amount of calcium in your bones, giving you a higher disposition for osteoporosis when you are older. For this reason, it is not recommended to stay on the shot for any longer than 1 year. I wish I had known this, but these results were only recently discovered. I would advise you to talk with your doctor about other options of birth control.

Stress most definitely affects this type of Birth Control method and Period loss and disturbance is part of the normal affects of the same. BUT you really do need to see your Gynecologist there could be some "X" factor at work here and you need follow-up on anything g from an Ovarian Cyst to a Cervical condition. "A word to the wise dear" do it!
