Plug it into the wall first, then plug it into your computer. Leave it in til the battery icon on the bottom right corner is full again. You can do it! ^.~ And a little warning... not directly related to the battery, but to laptops. Be careful if you have carpet, and then touch your computer. I had walked to my room, and reached to turn up the volume when the static electricity shocked my speakers, and blew out the sound. I ended up having to call the customer service, and wait for hours til they finally sent someone to my house to fix it. So, be careful. Touch metal first b4 your comp, I think it happens more often in the winter cuz of weather stuff...

theres a battery monitor on the bottom right of your screen usually.

not knowing what your motherboard looks like.......most I personally have found so far to date...the experienced person knows to remove batteries, and replace. it is easily found..and please...shut down and unplug the computer
first!
motherboard batteries are not designed to,,,recharge.
