depends......first name, last name, both? You don't need an attorney to file the papers, you can do that yourself. Call up the county clerk of courts and ask what papers need to be filed and the costs. Good luck.

you just go to the court house and file some paperwork, you do not need an attorney to fill out some papers. you do, however, need to pay somewhere around 250 dollars (at least, that was the cost in california).
