Depends what on. I know plenty of religious nuts that will have good debates about 99/100 things. But come to the whole "Creation" shennanigans and the debate is worthless.

Scientist love for you to question their opinion. Religious people don't. I don't believe any two people can have a constructive conversation with that big of difference in a approach to discuss anything.
