Might be a good idea if he's back's healthy. Second winningest goalie in history. Can't go wrong with that. He could teach Alex Auld a lot. With Belfour as a back up, Florida could go a long way.

Bad idea I think

Belfour is getting too old and the panthers would use alex auld as their starter anyways so belfour is just a backup

it is better to have a younger player as a backup so he can improve himself with the team

Belfour = Colander

He is done, he needs to hang up the skates... expect Auld to possibly take over or the Panthers trading for a new goalie (IE: Aebischer or Biron).

Excellent move.
Belfour as the backup to Auld will pay huge dividends. Eddie can help Auld mature and coach him in the locker room.
Plus, having a solid backup in today's NHL is worth more than words can say.

Not a good idea. Belfour was a great goalie back in the day, but he is just too injury prone these days.

Only good and really good if Crazy Eddie realizes he is a backup and be satisfied with playing 25-30 games.

He is perfect as a backup, a little too old to start, and you need a veteran in there in case Auld struggles.

I think bad, they gave up on a younger goaltender in Luongo and then signed him, doesn't make much sense.
