An MRI exam needs to be performed before the presence of a brain tumor can be ruled out. Most people who hear voices in their heads are either schizophrenics or they have tumors in the brain....other claims to be psychics and what not..but like I said...if you or anyone you know is hearing voices in your/their heads...you need to get an MRI exam! Talk to your doctor about it.

You need a little more info in this question, Minkus.
Some people "hear" the voice of their own conscience in their head.
Some people "hear" conversations that they are imagining having with someone, kind of like a rehearsal.
Some people uncontrollably hear voices in their heads because of any of several mental disorders.
And some people want us to believe that they are crazy, so they tell us about voices in their heads.
If this question is about yourself and you don't have control of the voices you are hearing, you should see a doctor.
If it's someone you know who has told you that they are hearing voices, you might recommend that they see a doctor.
If it's just some goof on Yahoo saying that he is listening to the voices in his head, he's just trying to make us think he's interesting.
If this doesn't help, try a more detailed question- use the "more information" box.

A gift from God, I say but when most people think of the saying HEARING VOICES the very first thing that comes to mind is Schizophrenia, or Psychosis psycho! They are rude and predigest. I see nothing wrong with Psychosis, Schizophrenia Bipolar, Depression, Autism, Anxiety, and even things like Allergies and diabetes and people should stop making fun of people.

You're becoming clairaudient. Just like some people are starting to have much more lucid dreams ... full color, hi-tech, anomalous, all that.
Lots of people are starting to hear the voices ... not just "in your head", but just off in the near distance. Do a search of "clairaudience" on Yahoo Answers, and see my earlier question.
People should pay more attention to ACTUAL phenomena, use more care in applying labels.
Anyone answering 'schizophrenia' is really overreaching.
Psychiatrists are legalized drug dealers, their "thought leaders" almost all on the payroll of big pharma. (see recent Wall Street Journal articles).

It could mean many different things. Spirits can do this. Ones mind can also do this, like a tape recorder, it is possible to hear the repitition of ones voice, especially if they had annoyed.
Also, what the top three said !

It's time for that person to take Prozac or Thorazine.
Seriously, all of us hear some voices now and then. The point here is not to be controlled by it. Ignore it, or if you can't, get help.
nuf sed. Peace.

It could be as simple as anxiety, or as others have mentioned, as bad as schizophrenia. Causes could also be from using drugs...especially amphetimines or alcohol. In any case, it's good to see your regular doctor. Don't worry...you're not nuts.
