I have never heard of that BUT you should alternate between an antiperspirant and a deodorant. If you only use antiperspirant, it can make you sick. You are not allowing any sweat to come out of your underarms whcih means that toxins are staying in your body. Deodorant lets the toxins out via sweat and it keeps the smell down. Best to alternater between the two every other stick or so.

Anti-perspirant clogs your pores so you don't sweat. Consequently this can cause infections or boils under your arms. I don't know about cancer but it can give you some nasty boils. Stick with deodorant.
