I am surrounded and innundated by stickers. I live in North Texas. They are so bad that they are all in my house and my 17 month old even has a name for them. We all get at least 4 or 5 stickers a day in our feet and my baby boy is so used to them he pulls them out of his feet and brings them to me. We are in sticker hell and would appreciate any help. I need big help, we live on 20 acres. thanks.,,

By stickers I mean the hard dried seed pods that are as big as a pencil eraser and have thorns all over them that are barbed so they stick in your feet. When stepped on they make you itch in that spot and they break apart if youre lucky into smaller barbs that imbed themselves in the carpet waiting for your poor feet.

I believe that you have the same problem that we do. They almost look like a very small seed with a thorn in the end. Some folks have told me that they wouldn't live in a well fertilized yard. Others have told me that there is no way to solve this problem. They probably came into your yard from someone's shoes or even on a lawn mower deck. You could use Weed-N-Feed. It is supposed to kill weeds and feed the lawn. In my yard it would kill most everything! My 1yo daughter won't even go out unless she has shoes on. Your area is large enough you could test these theories and know which one works. Lots of people would like to know this answer.

I have no idea what kind of stickers you are talking about...i'm thinking of little stickers you stick on paper cause they are sticky.

But from your situation, sounds like something you should call up a gardener or some exterminator to remove them from your yard. Where did they come from?

Hire somebody to come out and poison them. You might have to do it once or twice a year. I live in Utah and we get our own pests.
