Well first off its really all what your personal opinion of normal is...it'd different for everyone to a certain decree.
My personal opinion I'd say a more logical person would be a drone doing everything the good old 'logical' way, would make their life a heck of alot easier doing everything right the first time, everytime, or taking the easiest way everytime without emotion getting in the way...but it would be boring. Or it would become boring after a time. No excitement they would be happy though everything would run smoothly...so would that be the excitement, the satisfaction that all of the choices they made got them exactly where they wanted to be? It's possible.
No being a purely emotional person...someone who bases their decisions souly on emotion...would be physically exhausting, I would think. Doing everthing based on how you felt that day...which includes how everyone you interacted with that day made you feel and or how you felt about them. Example: you know you have something important to do and you bump into a friend and they invite you to do something else based on your emotion to that person you will either go with them or return to your prior engagement which has more importance than what your being asked to do with your friend. The logical person would do what they are supposed to be doing while the emotional person will probably go with the friend. Now I'm not saying it will happen everytime but for the sake of this question I'll say that it does.
To be perfectly honest with you a combination of both is probably the best bet...keep in mind though someone may be more logical and less emotional but they still have somewhat of a balance vice a versa. You can't live life thinking or acting one way or another and just that...well you can but it's more uncommon to not have that balance of logic and emotion that it is to be all logical or all emotionally based.
I would like to think I'm both or half and half. I do think however I act more based on my emotional attachments vs. being 100% logical all of the time. I think its disadvantages to me are that I let the stupid little things affect my mood too much and I tend to take things a bit too personal and often times I end up doing things I regret doing or regret saying. The advantages to me would be I'm a compasionate person and I'm considerate. I show empathy more so than most...I think of how my decisions are going to affect others...and I think very little of myself, too little (that would be a disadvantage.)
I am female and I'm currently a line cook.

Normal? Both. No one can be purely logical or purely emotional, though we all have our moments. I wouldn't want to be either of these things exclusively. We are human and that means we are both.
The kind of person I am, the advantages and disadvantages of my character are far too long to list here. Most people don't ponder these things until they have some trouble, and then only that one characteristic (hopefully they do anyway)

Half logical, half emotional.
I try to be 50/50 but have found that in most cases I´m more of a 30% logical/70% emotional person.
When you`re more emotional, you tend to sometimes over react, and say things you don`t want to. More, it makes it harder to make decisions sometimes because there is a conflict between the two sides.
I´m a female and I have my own business ( computer company).

You can't really use to word 'normal' in that way. People are just different. I am far too emotional and I have let my emotions guide me in life, sometimes well, sometimes not so well. I am a female designer, so it helps me with my creativity, but I worry too much about my work. I used to feel like I'm drowning when I was in love and can't be logical! I get a lot out of film and books and avoid practical issues. I have recently met a woman who is very business-minded and we have decided to set ourselves goals and objectives and meet each month to discuss. She is writing a book and so I can help her with her ideas. I am setting up a business so she can help me with the practicalities. Good idea to look for your opposite to balance you out, don't you think?!

I probably am both logical and emotional. I don't think that logical is normal more than emotional. You need balance, not too much of one thing. You have feelings and a brain, but don't let one lead the other...weigh both options.

these idealized polar types could not function in reality.
A purely logical being, having no value or desire, would be inert.
A purely emotional one would have no logical laws of thought, and have no way to cope, even instinctually, with their environment.
Nor are they truly a polarity.
One can be extremely emotional and extremely logical
at the same time.

Normal is such a subjective measure for delineating between people as to be pretty much useless. The best measures are things like healthiness...which person is more healthy? Or you could consider happiness...which person is happiest? These things will tell you far more about a person than something so limited as defining norms and then measuring candidates to see who measures up.

nothing is normal, everything can be normal, normal is a spectrum, mixture of logic and emotion, so i can't just judge as normal.
