I would have to say no, especially if you don't make it known that you are legacy. For some members of a particular organization, it may make them want to turn you down or treat you worse during the Membership intake process. I am legacy in a sorority, but that is not the one I belong to. I would just advise that you not make being legacy an issue for them to even have to look at. Present yourself as best you can and do what you are supposed to and you shouldn't have any problems. If you want to talk privately email me.

No it won't. At the most you may be asked why you're not going that way, but it's not a big deal at all. I have family members in a different sorority and I've brought in people who are legacies of other orgs. We get a kick out of it and make jokes but it's never been a negative. If anything it's a positive because that means you know at least something about how the organizations work.

Not at all, usually you would want to join the one where you are a legacy, but you never need to worry about not getting into one you want to get into.
