often weight can increase during the inital stages of establishing exercise routines. This happens as the muscle layer begins to build and especially in women this takes place beneath the fat layer before the muscle becomes noticible visually. You may find that you are at a slightly higher weight than you would like to be but if you check you waist measuments etc you will actually notice a reduction in inches.

Yes, it is completely normal, the muscle weighs heavier than the fat. You must reduce your calorie intake and drink lots of water to flush out the fat. You have to burn 3800 calories to lose 1 pound of fat. Keep going, I know firsthand how frustrating it is, I didn't lose any weight for the first 4 months of exercising 5 days a week for 2 hours a day! I have now lost 25 pounds and am exercising 4-5 days a week for 2 hours a day. You can do it!!

It is normal. Don't worry about the weight gain as long as you feel fit. Once you have muscle mass it will be easier to control your weight by varying your workouts.

Yes - Don't weigh yourself after you work out. You will weigh less before you work out due to the body changes that occur during your workout.

I would only weigh yourself once a week due to fluctuations in hormones, what you eat and how much water you consume.

You may see 5lbs loss one day and then 3 days later gain it back. It's too discouraging to weigh every day.
