i believe it is the San Francisco 49ers.
1. they have won 5 superbowls
2. they not only won, but they slaughtered every openant. the superbowl was never won in the last minutes. it was over before it started.
3. Have always been great. (excpet last 3 years). always were in play offs. always were top 5 team. ALWAYS. not 1,2, or 3 year wonders.
4. Great players to ever play the game.
5. overall. they just the best. and even though i would hate to admit it. Dallas cowboys are 2nd. BUT the Patriots will never come close to these two teams. they won by luck in practically on superbowls and are good for only a couple years.

but they won superbowls when the other teams were veryyyy weak. the patriots werent strong. if they played the older niners or cowboys they wouldnt even make the playoffs

yes. i also agree Greenbay is top 3. they have always been consitant and good. bt lack of superbowl i guess loses it for them.

Well....I'm going to have to say the Green Bay Packers...I think everything along with that franchise goes without saying...It'll be sad to see Favre leave that team too.
49er would have to go 2nd on my list though...So many amazing players came out of that team for those 5 super bowls.
Pitts and Dallas won the super bowls...but there's something I despise about their fans...49er fans never bugged me...they seem more humble about winning 5 super bowls....Just like the Packers...all of those winning seasons yet with Favre and QB...nobody was ever as cocky as these Pittsburgh fans are...it's so annoying,

First off on point #2, have you forgotten SB XXIII? 49ers were down 16-13 to the Bengals in the closing mins of the 4th qtr and needed some Montana magic to pull it out. Hardly non competitive.
On #3 I remember some very lean years in the 70s before Bill Walsh arrived. For longevity you can't beat Tom Landry's Cowboys. From 1966-85 a span of 20 years Cowboys went to playoffs 18 times. Played in 5 SBs and won 2. Could have easily won the other 3 with a break or two in each game.
You also have to include the Steelers who have 5 SBs and have had only a few lean years over the last 40. And I really think you are short changing the Pats. Winning 3 out of 4 in the salary cap era when you don't have quality depth is amazing.
Don't get me wrong. 49ers acheivements are impressive. I would go with Cowboys though.

Cowboys, 49ers, and Steelers are obviously the best teams in the NFL. They all have the most (5) Super Bowls. But, even as a Dallas fan, I say that the best overall team in the NFL all through the NFL history is Green Bay.

I think you're right. The niners back in the early 90's, they had everything. Being a Raiders fan, I was speeding home to catch the Niners on Monday Night Football at 6:00PM. Remember Merton Hanks, Marquez Pope, Bryant Young, Rice, Young, Ricky Watters, it was just an awesome time in the Bay Area.

I agree with you 100%. 49ers rule when it comes to football. Won 5 superbowls. Best team franchise ever. Greatest fans too.

The Cowboys of the 70's and the 90's would absolutely embarrass any team from any era... point blank period. That's why they were dubbed "Americas Team".
When you think of franchise's two things come to mind, Microsoft and the Dallas Cowboys.

Denver Broncos because no other team in the NFL has showed up in the super bowl the most. Of course they should've had 2 in the last 10 years or so, back in 87 and last year... Total 7 nough said

Cowboys because they were good in the 60's,70's 90's and are still pretty good now. They won 5 Super Bowls.

On a more serious note, you can't win a superbowl through luck, you have to have a good regular season and a good playoff run
And 3 superbowls in 4 years is no fluke.
I'm an Eagles fan, and they lost to the Pats, cause the Pats were better
