It has cost us:
50,000 civillian lives
Over 2,500 US military lives
Respect for our country and our "leader" in the global arena
and an unfathomable amount of resources ($305,150,000,000 + )that could actually could go instead to helping human beings and the planet
but it is making a few guys really really rich and has probably made it easier for us to consume more gas than we ever need or deserve
plus they get to test out all the new death toys

Because in the initial estimate, it's only a guess. They take a guess at how many troops will be deployed, how long they will be there, and what supplies are needed. They have too keep adjusting that figure with new factors. Oh yeah, and because they've done a crappy job of tracking how the money is spent

"How much is your freedom worth?"
The US certainly isn't buying freedom with cash. Its called Halliburton ... we are buying nothing. The current government is in the business of making rich white men even richer that thought possible.
Yee-haw, hillbillies!

Why what? Much of that cost is added into already formed military cost..
How much is your freedom worth? If we decide to much then we will pull out.

Fighting wars is expensive genius. 300 billion really isn't that much in the overall scheme of things anyhow.
