I see this alot lately. People are happy, functioning and living as a married couple, yet they aren't married. For some it's a lack of time or funds to plan a wedding, others it's just they never got around to it. And then there are some that honestly believe getting married is going to ruin the good thing they have. Talk to him about it honey. I doubt he's going anywhere soon, he's sounds rather committed. Maybe he has some underlying issues about marriage that need some reassuring.

they say you should not cry over spilled milk but I am wondering why women get pregnant before marraige, thankfully, you only have one child. not to make you feel bad. there is a bright side if you don't get married. I would check the common law statue in your state cause if it applies or will apply you would be considered married, (almost). I don't know why he hasn't felt the need to make the relationship official but I am concerned about why it seems to be a big deal for you. maybe you should ask yourself the same question.

Wow, how foolish and stupid, but it's done so make the best of it.
Don't give up. . . get him to commit to marriage now. Make it simple and no big expensive deal!

Man why buy the cow when you already got given her isn't that what they say. If you have all that than what's a piece of paper and a gold band...ask him if he wants to do it he may just feel like you already did and forgot to ask.

why would you have a child with someone you're not married to? sounds like you've wasted a lot of time with a guy who wants everything else but commitment. shacking up is so cheap. I wouldn't shame my family like that. give him an ultimatum to marry you.

that is too much time 5 YRS YOU SHOULD OF HAD DIGNITY AND SHOULDN'T OF LIVED WITH HIM WITHOUT BEING MARRY YOU PUT UR SELF IN THAT POSITION YOU SHOULD OF PRESSURE HIM YOUR STILL NOT TO LATE !
