I know a lot about cars and stuff, but I still can't vigure out if these chevy trailblazers or other trucks are supercharged if it says VORTEC on the engine! I know that vortec is a brand, but does it really mean its supercharged?

vortec is in reference to the vortex of air/fuel mixture going into the cylinder created by the heads. it produces more horsepower without sacrificing low end torque or fuel economy. its 1 of gm best engines, but none are supercharged, atleast not at the moment

no it doesnt mean superechergered but u can either get a super charger or a turbo charger for your trailblzer but the vortec engine u got now is a very nice engine with plenty of power u might be able to shop around and find a super charger for cheap, good luck.

they usualy will put the word supercharger on the intake cover wher it says vortec

votecs are just a head design for the valves which gives them better horsepower as a result. i believe its 50 over the old standerd heads

no, they don't have superchargers
