Thanks for posting the question. I feel that all the people who are "Anti-American" should not live here! They live here, enjoy all our freedoms, and liberites...but yet they have so much bad crap to say about America...seems pretty unappreciative to me. I KNOW that if all those anti americans spent 1 week in another country that didnt have the freedoms that our country has...they would be crawling back here to the USA. I am fully supportive of the troops, and all I know is they are the ones that we all owe our safety, and our security to. They take care of all of us, and make it safe for us all to sleep at night. I'm very thankful for every one of them. Also, I think that we all should be proud of this country because it is based on its citizens, we have the say...and I think that is sooo great. Also, I'm thankful that our country will help out others, and try to make their lives better...that shows such care and humbleness (if thats a word lol).

I heard a story on the radio last night of a man who was in the Operation Iraqi and he was ddriving down the street and saw a bunch of war protesters and he pulled over, and started talking to them...it got to the point of almost a fight...so he backed down...went back to his vehicle, put on all his ARMY CLOTHING and went to the other side of the street and supported the war and the troops...that right there is patriotisim. I'm thankful for those ppl that show such care for their country and are so thankful to be here and enjoy everything that we get to. SOOO thank you to all the troops and to all the patriotic citizens out there...I love you all. :-)

Ok well although I totally agree with you. People are getting tired of the war stuff and The Presidents mistakes. Its not that they dont care about the country because as you noticed druing 9/11 everyone united as one and worked together no matter who they were. Criminals, cops, armed forces, businessmen/women, media and families. People just do not agree with what trouble this country has been getting itself into and dont want to take sides with anybody because no body is sure about who is right or wrong about many of the recent issues. Also although this country is THE most powerful country in the world the United States has not been working with its allies very well and have been burning bridges. However I still believe that their is a great amount of support just nobody is showing it as much anymore.

Yes I am tired of the negativity BIG TIME! I am a Soldier in the Greatest Army in the World, and I really really get tired of the crummy attitudes here.....for example, a Soldier was killed in Iraq, and some protestors went to the kid's, (and yes he was a kid at the age of 21). to act like fools at his burial...his parents could not even have that moment to themselves without the protestors being there and causing MORE trauma for the family who had just lost a son, and a brother....only in this country do we allow anti-government, anti-nation acts to happen....in other countries you would be jailed, or killed.

I read a lot of the negative comments on here, and have heard my share of ignorant things directed at me because I am a Soldier. To those people, if America werent the great nation it is, you wouldnt have the freedoms to act like you do, or say the things you do. You wouldnt have the rights that you do at all. A lot of the freedoms you enjoy or the "life liberty and happiness" you are entitled to, are because of this great nation.

Yeah America has some faults, but in comparrison to some of the other countries I could be living in right now...I'll pas on that to sit around a big barbecue with friends right here in the good O'l U.S.A.

people take their hate of president bush and turn it on their country. these people are idiots. ok, you dont like bush, we get it. how many of these people actually even know whats going on? i bet a surprisingly low percentage. most of these idiots probably havent seen a news broadcast, read a newspaper, or heaven forbid a book in years. people hate bush because its the "trendy" thing to do. he is characterized by the media as an idiot and in most people's fleeting momentary brush with this portrayal are so easily influenced that they cannot formulate their own opinion and go along with it. how can someone openly call the leader of their own country an idiot? what does that say about our country? and who is gonna be so stupid as to say, "well he didnt win, or i didnt vote for him." nobody has any pride in this country or its leaders. thats why people were so passive about clinton getting his wang sucked in the white house. he committed ADULTRY while he was supposed to be working as the leader of th is country. stop being such cry babies and take some pride in this county again. people dont know how good they have it here. open your eyes and look around. look at everything this country gives you. look at what american HAS to do as a world leader, stop being such a$sholes. i dont want to sound like im for any one party or group, but i just think its wrong to bash this country and its leaders. if someone isnt getting the job done, elect someone else. we are all americans, we are not against eachother, or at least we shouldnt be based on political affiliations. everyone should be a little more educated, and a little less radical.

WOW - you asked for some positive comments and the doom patrol comes out in full force.

The USA is great. We are compassionate and genuinely care about the rest of the world and each other. Our President is a great man who is trying to do his best in these hard volatile times.

Our troops are out there all over the world trying to help and spread freedom. We should be thanked and not condemned for all the things we do.

AND - I want to thank you and other Vets too Warren!

You would always have people that envy the many things that this Great Nation has to offer. Specially the freedom and the opportunities that we would never find anywhere else in the world. The Americans that all ways have something negative to say if because of the frustration of their own failures in their life that they all ways have to blame some else for what is happening to them and them you just have many sour people that no matter what happens they are always angry.

Yes I am! I get so tired of all the incessant crap that goes on. Its a great country, if people don't like it they should leave it let the rest of us be happy.
As for the last poster: they apparently didn't read the part where you said in THIS country so the question didn't pertain to them. but they were arrogant enough to answer. So just Ignore their hostility too. I think its great that you feel free to express how you feel. God bless you!

Well this is the second question like this that I've seen today. GOOD FOR YOU!! Don't worry about the loud mouths that bash our great country no matter what the left leaning polls say their are still more of us who love our country and respect our soldiers and pray that they finish their mission and come home with the least amount of casulties. Some of us still realize that freedom is worth fighting for. Without freedom their is no life, at least not one that is worth living.

Yeah, but it's like a pendulum.. people will be very harsh and critical of america and cynical... and then eventually they will go back to being highly patriotic. I wouldn't worry about it too much, election results and poll results still prove that the heart of american still bleeds red, white, and blue. The mainstream media does seem to lean towards anti-american sentiments a bit too often, but there are heavy-weights like limbaugh, hannity, and even O'Reilly to set things straight.
