i don't really think it or feel it, so it makes me feel overrated.

Not really. However, it shows that you can get through a tough course of study and thesis writing. Professors would probably say you have become an "expert" on a certain aspect of your discipline, that which had something to do with your thesis. Learning is a never-ending process. You don't stop learning about your discipline just because you've earned a Master's. If you go on to teach college, you will find that you are constantly learning new things, often from your own students!

The Masters degree gives you the recognized mastery in the area of study focus, specifically your thesis or practicum site. Not sure who is rating you - but unless the degree comes from an accredited university or college, specifically, one of the 5 regional accrediting agencies, then the degree wont be rated...
