stop going on Yahoo answer or looking for answers, do it.
First of, you gotta know what your dreams are. Make sure that it's really what you are passionate about because then you ll get the energy to pursue it wholeheartedly. Often we think we want something only to find that it's not our wants or our dreams. Dont live other people's dreams. Look into yourself and ask yourself what's your core values (what's important to you), dont ask yourself what other people, family or society want of you.
When you have done that, write them down. Then write how you want to express your core values to the world, and how it will be translated in your dreams. It's good to choose one BHAG (big hairy audacious goal, something that will stretch you beyond your limit but is still achievable). Again, imagine yourself in that BHAG, how cool would it be, how sux would it be not to achieve it. And of course, strategize. Analyze your situation, do a SWOT on yourself, look around the resources you have and what's the most effective way to accomplish your dream.
Having said all that, the most important thing remains is simply doing what it takes. If achieving dreams are easy, there won't be dreams worthy enough to be called dreams. You have to sweat, have discipline, ignore people, live hard or what have you as long as it's the right thing for the dreams. It's discipline and perseverance. It's a cliche, but it is true that achieving dreams eventually boils down to your character. Do you have what it takes or are you going to spend the rest of your days eating chips in front of tv.
But before all that a journey of a thousand miles begins with a step (chinese proverb). Now, get going.

Some of my dreams are never gonna be realities. Like this one dream, where I landed on an alien world, inhabited only by women in their twenties....
Oh, you mean dreams as in goals. Well, that will take hard work, determination, patience, and a sense of humor.

$250,000. I don't want to be extremely rich just not living paycheck to paycheck. This would pay off all my debt, including my house and leave some money for my oldest sons college fund. Assuming all my debt was paid off I could afford to put the others through college!

For me to become a succesful musician, so I can show my family music does pay, and is better than sports. I get shoved down for playing music, it seems the only thing they care about is sports. I want to become a succesful musician and show them that they were way ******* wrong.

For me, I don't believe in dreams but hope in God. I just got to put my trust 100% in God, keep praying knowing my faith He will answer my prayers, and work hard in trying to accomplish whatever goals I want to achieve.
