I like some of the stuff thats out today but I really like music from the early 90"s Nirvana , Pearl Jam,Alice in Chains, even some lighter stuff like Duran Duran's Wedding album..alot of the music today is so pornographic and to think our kids here this and watch these sleezy videos no wonder our kids are getting pregnant younger and younger!!!! Ill stick with the old school music with the exception of a few Artist like Nickleback for example

I feel like the best music came out of the 60's: The Beatles, Simon and Garfunkel, The Rolling Stones, Crosy Stills and Nash, etc.

Today, most people listen to crap, "pop" like Brittney Spears, or Shakira, and rap, which i'm not sure should qualify as music.

However, today, there's still some good music being played. Nice rock and roll, played by people who still remember what a vocal harmony is: The New Pornographers, The Shins, Weezer, etc., and guys who can still rock and actually sing (as opposed to shouting) at the same time, like The Red Hot Chili Peppers.

oh, and to prior answerers: what the heck is alt-indie!?

70's and earlier, that was music. Theres some 80's that was great but from the 90's to the present time, its horrible! In the last 6 years, I liked about 5 songs from the pop stations.

It focuses on way too much on attitude and trendy nonsense. Talent takes a back seat, and is constantly told to shut up by the recording industry.

Numbers are not a substitute for letters, and capitals belong at the begining of a sentance or a proper noun.

Obviously, you couldn't string a good sentance together if you tired.

Aside from a few bands, everything is crap. Its either "Ohh. Let me get my emo hair outta my eyes so i can sing about death and my ugly girlfriend." or "Oh skeet skeet skeet skeet skeet!"

It can't be good when Paris HIlton has a cd.
