Buy ONLY what you NEED, but only after seeing if you can get it for free somewhere first, or used if possible (so you will be nicer to our planet).
Go to stores that have good customer service.
If you do purchase something, do your research first to make sure you are getting exactly what you want for the best deal possible. Unless you are feeling especially generous and want to support a local shop or artist.
And when you are done with what you have, try to give it away or recycle it if at all possible.
Don't buy things just because they are cheap or seem like a good deal if you don't really need them.
