Just curious as to what your thoughts and opinions are on this matter as it happens at least once a day in my restaurant. People are late for a flight so they go to a busy restaurant and expect you to have their food out for them within 5 minutes. They bother you every 5 minutes, asking where their food is, which takes your time and attention away from your other tables. You can never get their food out fast enough for them when the restaurant is filled to capacity so they end up leaving you a crappy tip like it's your fault. I am just curious as to why people think because they are in a hurry, that the restaurant should revolve around them. I , personally, would eat at the airport if I was that late, or I would go to a fast food restaurant where I didn't have to wait. Keep in mind that I work nowhere near an airport, the closest one is at least 30 minutes away.

This also applies to people who are late for anything in general, I just find flights the strangest.

A lot of people who go to restaurants are sadistic. They like to screw their waiters over and be annoying. They have no class. I think everyone in the US should wait tables for one year. It's the most unappreciated job in the world.

I feel ya. Just remember, you're smarter than they are. And that no one should EVER **** with people who handle their food. :-)

i dont think this just happens to you. i worked in the food industry for quite some time. i started out as a delivery guy and worked my way up to cook, then pizza man, then manager. the answer is, people are assholes and morons. they think they are the only people on the planet. the amazing thing is that they will ***** and moan and give you a hard time, and then come back again. they either like being a pain in the ***, are naturally jerks, or they want something for free. i can remember serving people, they eat three quarters of their dish, and then they try to return it and not pay for it. i used to screw up peoples orders on purpose if i hated them to try to get them to not return. just deal with it or treat them like shyt because you know they arent gonna leave you anything anyway

its because people have no concept on punctuality.

they think eveything should be catered to them.. its the same as going shopping when you are running late to work, if there is a line there is a line, deal with it!

you know what they do though, they show up late for their flight and then complain to the people at the counter that they should get to be on the next flight to wherever like it is their fault.

Procrastinators! That's the main reason why they are running down the clock to their flight! Hell I remember my last flight I took, I cut the clock really close, but it wasn't because I was procrastinating,it was because I didn't know the airport was open! I vowed never to do that again! I cannot see how some people deliberately do that!!!

Because they are stupid, inconsiderate assholes who think the world revolves around them. I woldn't be surprised if any of the arrogant f**ks call the airport and ask the plane to wait.

Cause they think that they will get a good and nice customer service attention at the restaurant.

I look at some of your questions.... i think u need to get another job, you dont like the tips u get. or maybe u need to be nicer to the people.

It'll make them have more energy and when they are up in the air, they'll enjoy the flight better. It'll make their mood very beautiful and it will even lead them to have more friends when they are in the plane.

Warn the customers first that their meals will only be ready in whatever time it will take. Show them their options before they make the wrong decision
