I don't think you want to reformat, do what the others said.

One of:
1. Use Add/Remove Programs in Control Panel. Find Service Pack 2 and uninstall it.
2. Use System Restore in the Accessories to revert to a time before you got SP2.
3. If your computer has a non-damaging recovery option, activate it.
4. If you made backup CDs, use them to restore your system state.

While installing SP2, if you had selected the option to backup files, then you can un-install it safely from Control panel -> add remove programs -> SP2.
