Expect cold.
And if you are in Boston proper, expect a lot of wind. That's really the worst of the two. Dress in layers and avoid exposed skin - so scarf, hat, gloves are all good.
It is better to have these because if the weather does turn less cold, you can carry them in a coat pocket easily enough.

This past December was unusually warm! I recall around Christmas time not even needing a full winter jacket. Generally speaking though that time of year would be very cold, around 30 degrees F, and snowing or icey.

Chilly. It can get as warm as 30 probably, but ususally around or under 20.
Depends on if we're having a mild winter, if the snow storm has already come. Weather is a tricky thing!

It is very, very cold, especially if you're from a warm area. It's not the best time to come, although the hotels are very cheap at that time. There is a lot of ice and snow. You definitely have to bundle up!

Generally cold and windy (highs at or barely above freezing and colder at night) with the potential for big snowstorms. I honestly love that kind of weather though.

Quite cold but it doesn't get REALLY cold until mid-January. It is beautiful weather if you like to ski but that's best in NH or VT.

Unpredictable. It could be a blizzard one day and be 50 degrees the next. Be prepared,
