i know there are a lot of singers that sing that song but today i was listening to some christian station and heard a girl singing it and really liked the version and it seems fairly new

Marc Cohn sings it and wrote it. Its his song. These people and their remakes need to get a life, or their own song maybe!

Try Ben Harper's albums Fight for Your Mind, and Diamonds at the Inside. He professes Christ. Also, check out some thing Jack Johnson. (He and Ben are great peers, and so they collaborate on every others' albums most often.)
