A guy told me today that God made women to keep men busy, and they were not as smart as men. Well being a woman I highly dissagree, because, that man seem very well mannered...and believe it or not he was raised by a woman. Why do men think we women are not as smart as them, when a woman most likely raised them?

this is a very tochy and confuseing subject, but i've come to a conclusion.

some men are aware of the fact that women have the upper hand and sharper mind in any situation. but they are also afraid of being a lesser person, or not the alpha of a home. he can't stand not being better than everybody else.

this man that was raised by a women had posibly grown up without a father figure and no one to teach him how to treat a women or understand them. he never saw how a husband treats his wife and never developed an understanding that they are equal.

his knowladge of God is also weak. he's obviosly been tought wrong or has joined a stupid cult that doesn't know anything about God or the Bible. in the Bible God and the prophets make it clear that men are actualy a step below women because they are not able to give birth. you tell thiss *** that women are favored by God and Jesus so he will go to hell..

Look at the SAT grades throughout the years. Guys still have a small lead over girls in English, but still remain much higher grades in math.

In Mensa, men outnumber women 2:1.

Read about sexual dimorphism. Millenia ago men developed greater spatial and reasoning abilities as a result of the hunt. Women, who stayed at the home, developed better able to sense the emotions of others.

Oh yeah, also, because men are required for only a small part of the reproductive process, and thus fewer are neccessary for the survival of the species. Thus, men display greater variation in intelligence. So, although there are more more-intelligent men, there are also greater numbers of less intelligent men. I hope that made sense.

The picture I get is that men have both a higher average IQ and greater standard deviation in intelligence.

And nobody says stuff like this because the femenists have enough influence to get it censored. Look at what happened to president of Harvard University Larry Summers. IQ measures problem solving ability, people, and men display higher average score.

For a realistic answer, read an article on this subject by a practicing scientist who is actually published in science journals and has a job as a scientist.

You could try visiting the library or a bookstore.

You'll find that while there are certainly differences between men and women, nobody in this decade still holds the "men are intellectually superior to women" viewpoint.

goes back to Medieval times when using the best technology of the time they came to the conclusion that because women had smaller heads they were obviously not as smart because their heads couldn't hold as much knowledge. Also would probably have to do with the Catholic church publishing a paper that said (somethign to the effect of) that because women were created from a bent rib they were not pure and therefore the lesser of the sexes and more prone to evil etc.
An experiment conducted in the early 20th century in which some big college let a woman enroll to test to see if they could cut it in colleges ended in ehr having a nervous breakdown what it also failed to calculate in was that the fate of women in college for quite awhile was resting in her hands alone (quite a bit of pressure if you ask me).

P.S. The guy who told you that would probably fall in the category of men who are significantly stupider than you

P.P.S. I've never thought that women in general were not as smart as me (at least that I can remember)

God made woman as a companion and partner for man. Women can do whatever they want and be whatever they want. They are just as smart as man and some are smarter. Without woman there could not be man. The guy you talked to must not like women for some reason or another. Maybe his momma did not give him enough love or something don't worry about him.

Since the beginning of time, Eve was the mother of life. The serpent tempted Eve to eat from the forbidden tree and she instructed Adam to do the same. The enemy came to Eve first because he knew that Adam was not going to bow to his evil tricks. Women are not a burden, but they do have the ability to get their way. A true woman will not take advantage of a man. A strong man will not let a woman take advantage of him. So that question is played on both sides.

That is a generalization. Most men would not agree that women are inferior to men.

However, men, on average, are better at math, science and logical thinking. This leads some to err and believe that men are superior. All it means that men and women are different.

So much sexism on this question alone.

I can't believe the amount of disinformation
people are willing to buy.

F*ck 2,000 year old moralities.
F*ck SAT scores and IQ tests,
those statistics don't account for environmental gender-identification, and the effect on one's upbringing at all.

I can't believe these presumptions are still around,
as if having a womb makes a women irrational/hysterical.

Alot of people on Y!A are living in a cave.

If that guy wasn't just trying to annoy you, I'd say he's insecure and feels better and stronger when he has someone to belittle. If he is this ignorant about women, he's probably also ignorant about, and threatened by, anyone different from himself. This is the source of prejudice. I'd stay away from him. Most men are not like this.

Men and women are equal. there can be no children unless you have a man and a woman. this should apply to all the other aspects of life as well. career, ability, intelligence, etc. =)
