Definitely a chiropractor.
I had many problems including a frozen shoulder. No longer frozen.
Because I sat hunched in front of the computer for many years. I retired from work a wreck with very poor posture: chronic stiff and sore neck from the weight of my head not balanced on the spine properly and chest muscles shortened, pulling my shoulders toward the front. Good posture now.
The chiropractor did some manipulations, heat therapy, ultrasound treatments, and taught me some exercises which I try to do at least three times daily (they take only a few minutes and I can do them anywhere).
The only problem he probably cannot reverse is the minor scoliosis (which probably is a very old previously existing untreated condition we discovered through a recent xray). But I am doing lower back exercises and know how to manage that problem as well. I don't want surgery or a rod in my spine.

I personally found going to the chiropractor a waste of my time. It in some ways made me worse. The chiropractor has years of experience, but re-aligning your spine is not really something they can do. Your body usually just goes back to what it was with what chiropractors do. They make a lot of claims. Now they do give you temporary relief and make you feel straighter for a while, but it doesn't seem permanent. I know. I tried. I am going to try Rolfing because chiropractic didn't work and I have a lot of discomfort.

It depends completely upon the degree of dis-alignment. It can be corrected with as little as a series manual manipulations of the spine by a Chiropractor OR it may entail major surgery by the insertion vertically of correcting steel rods ... no small task.
I have seen Cases where both methods and a host of in between deviations were corrected "but" you did not give details as to degree of dis-alignment and the vertebrae involved.
There are many corrective Posture Braces that can be fitted as well. Constant "Sit Up Straight" reminders and posture changes are needed afterwards!

chiropractor will work wonders on your spine. Maybe just one or few sessions. Also try drinking calcium milk and stretch every 2 hours of sitting down. Stand up and raise both your hands up as if reaching the ceiling. fix your posture too while facing the computer. Do not neglect your spine now or youll regret it later.

I suggest you take up Ballet or TaiChi AND see a chiropractor. Rolfing is NOT good for you at all. Accupuncture only works for some.

See a chiropractor. S/he will align you (over a series of adjustments), plus give you exercises to do.

Go to a local chiropractor... He will tell you what exercises to do after he realigns your spine. Then all you have to do is just do the exercises :)
